First of all I'd like to say "Thank You" to the organizers who brought the "Partisan" exhibition to Seattle, it is a gift in my perception.
We had the opportunity to be guided by docent Phyllis Davidson. We got the big picture and were filled in with lots of details, including her own experience as an American Jew. Her docenting style was interactive throughout the tour, eliciting many questions and comments from the group. She was open to any commentary and gently steered the conversation to important facets. The feeling was like being invited into a family situation, where everyone was equal and eager to learn from each other. In my opinion most or all participants experienced two meaningful hours that will resonate into the future.
While thought provoking, it was also an enriching tour as it brought us closer in a humanitarian way.
I am sure most of us will encourage others to visit on their own or organize another tour. With best wishes for a successful exposure of the exhibition and thanks, Claire
I wish to thank you personally for opening my eyes to another world. I have a lot to catch up on that part of history. Seeing these wonderful photo documentaries was a glimpse into human endurance and the suffering which went on in these part of the world. A photo can speak thousand words and these photos were outstanding in their quality and documentation. Thank you, Helga
